An invention may have great commercial potential, even if it's at a very early stage. Therefore, the invention needs to be further matured and documented before it can be sold or licensed to companies and/or form the basis for a research collaboration. Private companies and investors are often reluctant to invest in early-stage technologies because of the high risk. In continuation of AAU's strategy for 2022 and beyond, funds have therefore been allocated for an independent AAU Proof of Concept scheme (AAU PoC).
AAU PoC helps to ensure that AAU continues with to be successful within utillization of research through a focus on both inventions, software, and promising research results in general.
